What is magnetic switch?
The magnetic switch is an electric switch that is sensitive to a magnetic field.
A magnetic switch is made up of a two parts; the switch is in a hermetically sealed glass shell, which has a Reed type
switch, 2nd part is the magnet.
The contacts may be open or closed, closing when the magnetic field is in place, and opening the contacts that
a magnet is moving away.
The switch is activated by bringing a magnet near the switch, the magnet is removed and the switch changes mode.
The gap parameter is the distance that the magnet affects the switch. Average gap is between 10 and 60 mm.
Gap is an important parameter, measured on none metallic surface.
