Our DD batteries are protected against cell shorting by the adding a buffering agent that ensures the presence
of acid ions even in a fully discharged case.
“Deep discharge” (DD) batteries allow the battery voltage under load to go below the cut-off level voltage
of a full discharge.
The recommended cutoff voltage varies with the discharge rate.
Consider the optimum operating temperature for the lead-acid battery is 25°C (77°F).
The deep discharge process is severe and damage damage the battery.
The sooner a severely discharged battery is recharged, the better its chances to fully recover.
